Our hair is the blueprint.

I noticed a pattern. When my hair was straight, I was perceived differently by peers, teachers, and coaches. As a young girl competing in gymnastics, I was told that my curly hair was not 'aerodynamic'. I was the only Black girl at my level, and my hair became another challenge to prove myself. I began to question why a hairstyle could influence how seriously someone was taken. Those experiences taught me that many young people are still exposed to harmful messages suggesting natural hair is unprofessional or less acceptable.

Knot Just Curlz was created to challenge those beliefs. Natural hair is professional, beautiful, and worthy of celebration in every space—from classrooms and athletic arenas to boardrooms and beyond. We empower youth to embrace their identity with confidence and pride.
